The show
I’ve finally sat down at a computer since our show Saturday night. The Mint was action packed. Not that I could tell with those bright stage lights. I was so nervous a couple of Jacks in the green room didn’t calm me down. A really good pedal steel player complimented me on my guitar tone - thanks Keeley Electronics. My new Modded BD-2 Blues Driver did the trick. My pal Phil Hurley of Stonehoney, a bad motherfucker on the guitar, hopped up and played some blues harp while we closed the set with “Hooker.” I think Anks and Kyle and I tore it down Saturday night. There were a lot of people to talk to and I missed a few. A certain tall, beautiful redhead named Tara came and left with me. Met up with some nice Brazilian folks and we headed to a party in Culver City populated by other Brazilians and Puerto Ricans. They were celebrating someone’s dog’s birthday. I really wore out my voice that night and today I sound like Ton Loc.
