Anks and I just drove up to Malibu for a sneak preview of The Rush of Sights and Sounds, the new Dan and Leland album. Their song “Fly” played on a recent episode of The Real World. That song should be a hit. This is huge, maximist (not a word but the opposite of minimalist) pop/rock record. Lots of textures and space floating around the songs. I think the record will be on iTunes mid December. Our mutual friend Jim hosted the listening party in his lovely home off PCH. Jim used to build ukeleles for Kamaka in Hawaii and repaired guitars with Leland here in LA.  I’m digging the D&L logo above. And I thought time lapse was just for showing growth of plants.  And assembling large arena rock stage sets.  But then this photo isn’t really time lapse.  I digress.
