Night Moves
We had our final rehearsal before we head into the studio. The guys are singing backup on songs and sounding great. My singing . . .not so great. But I’ll get it done next week. I have one swollen tonsil that I hope doesn’t spread. But who’s to complain when I have one good one. My friend Pat, of the ultimate Rush Tribute band Caress of Steel, whipped up a feedback buster for my classical. It worked wonders. I’ve been unable to find a manufactured feedback buster to place in the soundhole of my classical. The ones I’ve seen are all made for steel strings with larger soundholes. Got some feedback from Adam and he’s excited to get working next week. By the way Pat is heading to play for the US Military in Japan on New Year’s Eve. Like I said, the ultimate Rush Tribute band.
I met a gentleman who works for one of the majors. He was interested in hearing us and helping us out if he can. I offered to send him cuts from our new album in a couple of weeks.
I’m hoping KFC is open for Thanksgiving. So I can get some mashed potatoes and feel like I’m having a real meal. I’ve had Bob Seger in my head all day. Ain’t it funny how the night moves.
