I’m writing a couple of days out from our show at the Derby. We played a short set with new material that may make the new album. The place was really packed full of people and the guys played really well. I’m still pretty tired from all my dancing around through the set. A real rock and roll show and my cord unplugged on the last note of our set. I must have jumped pretty high in the air to unplug myself. It was pretty funny and the crowd sure enjoyed it. This was not the first time I’ve unplugged. I need to prevent that and cut myself a longer George L cable.
My pal Phil of Stonehoney lent me his Xotic RC Booster for the show. During our last recording session Adam plugged me into one and it was magic. But I was in a hurry during line check and I never set the boost volume. My Keeley Phat Mod Boss BD-2 was sounding pretty nasty (tasty nasty). I do wish it had slightly warmer mids as my Fender Concert has only treble and bass controls. I’ll try rolling the amp presence down. And I’m still getting used to having my amp at a volume lower than 10.
